Official competition rules
Version: 9 September 2026 (october-2026-v3). The Apple Watch is awarded to the best final transformation by judging. Three Apple gift cards are awarded by random draws weighted by completed steps. There is no separate charge for entering on the website. Normal BodyFat AI app charges apply as described below.
1. Organiser and contact
The organiser is SHARKTOOTH PTY LTD, trading as BodyFat AI, 68 Thomson Street, Sale VIC 3850, Australia. Contact support@bodyfataiapp.com with the subject “October Challenge”. Apple, Google, Meta and Instagram do not sponsor, endorse, administer or associate themselves with this promotion.
2. Who can participate
The challenge is intended for legal residents of the United States (50 states and District of Columbia), United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland), Canada, New Zealand and Australia, subject to applicable local law. Entrants must be at least 18 and have reached the age of majority where they live by registration. Entrants need their own BodyFat AI app account on a compatible iPhone or Android device, qualifying app access and a Google account for the challenge portal. Directors, employees, contractors directly involved in this promotion, and their immediate families or household members cannot win. Participation is void where prohibited. This country list and these terms do not represent a government licence or regulatory approval.
One natural person may hold one challenge registration. Multiple email addresses, app accounts, social accounts, subscriptions or purchases do not create additional registrations or exceed the maximum four gift-card draw entries. A final app comparison is mandatory for Watch judging and gift-card draws; social steps provide optional gift-card entries and do not affect Watch judging.
3. Dates and time zone
All administrative deadlines use Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The server’s receipt timestamp controls uploads and deadlines.
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| Registration opens | 8 September 2026, when online registration becomes available |
| Registration closes | 30 September 2026, 23:59:59 UTC |
| Challenge period | 1–31 October 2026 |
| Final upload opens | 31 October 2026, 00:00:00 UTC |
| All evidence uploads and terms acceptance close | 2 November 2026, 23:59:59 UTC |
| Watch judging begins | 10 November 2026, starting at 00:00 UTC |
| Gift-card draws | After the Watch winner is confirmed; subsequent cards after the preceding candidate is confirmed or rejected, using the same saved pool |
| Provisional winner contacted | Within seven calendar days of selection |
| Claim period | At least 14 full calendar days from first notification, subject to any longer mandatory period |
| Confirmed winner information | Published within seven calendar days after confirmation, subject to applicable requirements |
| Prize delivery | Within 30 calendar days after acceptance and successful verification |
Keep a starting scan dated 1 October and a final scan dated 31 October in the app. Use the corresponding local calendar dates for your place of residence; both dates must remain visible on your export. Portal deadlines remain UTC, so allow time for your local time difference. A verified service outage may justify the same reasonable, published extension for all affected entrants. No prize will be drawn before uploads close.
4. App use, charges and trial
The challenge website does not sell entries or charge a separate competition fee. BodyFat AI is the tool used to record and export the October transformation. Its normal paid access requirements and ordinary app-store prices apply. Registration does not start an app subscription, charge a card, grant a free month or supply free app access.
Existing monthly, annual and lifetime customers may participate with qualifying coverage for the challenge period. Eligible new annual customers retain the ordinary three-day free trial; it is followed by paid annual access at the locally displayed store price unless cancelled under store terms. A trial alone does not provide month-long access. A trial beginning with the challenge must convert at its normal end to qualifying paid access through 31 October. Turning off renewal does not invalidate already-paid coverage. Consumer cancellation and refund rights remain intact; exercising those rights is not misconduct.
More spending, a more expensive plan, repeated purchases and a longer subscription do not provide additional entries or better weighting. Gift-card entries are calculated only from the four steps below. Spending and social points do not affect Watch judging. Google sign-in and an uploaded image do not independently verify app ownership or subscription status. Selected entrants may be asked for limited source evidence where necessary; no device ID, password or full card information is required.
5. Four simple steps
Register with Google, confirm your name, country and age eligibility, and accept the published rules and privacy notice. Use your own app records during October. No separate starting-photo upload or website camera session is required.
| Step | How it is completed | Gift-card entries |
|---|---|---|
| Join | Finish registration with a confirmed Google email and accept these rules | 1 |
| Follow, optional | Follow @bodyfat_ai on Instagram and upload a screenshot showing the follow, with your Instagram handle | +1 |
| Share, optional | Share the challenge post or a Story, tag @bodyfat_ai and upload a screenshot showing your username, the shared content and mention | +1 |
| Transformation, required | Upload one app-exported before-and-after image with the 1 October and 31 October dates visible | +1 |
Registration plus the final comparison gives two provisional entries. Completing both optional social steps gives four, the maximum per person. Points accumulate as steps are completed, but no registration enters the draw without a timely final comparison and acceptance of the current rules. Your registration and final transformation must satisfy these terms by the evidence deadline. Social uploads are not required for Watch judging.
For the final image: open Progress, tap Share your transformation, choose Before / after, select the 1 October and 31 October scans, save to Photos, and upload the exported image in your portal. JPEG and PNG files up to 3 MB are supported. A short story is optional and earns no additional entries. Keep your original selected records until prize verification and any dispute are resolved.
6. Upload completion and bonus entries
A step ticks complete only when its file and entrant record are successfully saved. One completed step equals one provisional entry. Replacing or retrying an upload does not grant another entry. A received file is not automatically verified as genuine. Random files, fabricated screenshots, another person’s photos, manipulated bodies or AI-generated transformation results do not qualify.
The follow and share steps each need separate proof. Upload Story evidence while it is visible; the screenshot must allow later review after the Story expires. Opening Instagram, copying a caption or tapping a sharing button alone does not complete a step. Private profiles can participate using the same evidence requirements. Keep the claimed follow and qualifying shared content in place through the submission deadline, except for a Story’s normal expiry.
Referrals, ratings, app-store reviews, likes, comments, follower counts, newsletter subscriptions, testimonials and marketing releases earn no entries and are not required. The size of your transformation does not alter your gift-card draw weighting. Watch judging considers credible progress relative to your starting point, as set out below. Declining optional marketing does not affect your entries.
7. Watch judging, gift-card draws and winner review
The Watch is a judged award for the best final transformation. It is never awarded randomly. The organiser reviews the eligible, dated final comparisons for credible visible progress relative to each entrant’s own starting point, using like-for-like photos. Judging is a reasoned comparison of the transformations, not a calculation of the largest weight loss or the lowest body-fat estimate. Consistent lighting, pose and framing help establish what progress the image actually supports; image polish itself earns no advantage. No separate baseline upload, essay or device identifier is required. An optional story may clarify the source image but earns no additional judging points. Social follows, shares, point totals, subscription spending and marketing permissions do not affect Watch selection.
The authorised judge considers the eligible final comparisons before selecting a provisional Watch winner and records a written decision explaining the relative progress and evidence supporting the choice. Any tie must be resolved by a second independent reviewer applying the same criteria, with a recorded reason; the Watch cannot be decided by a random tie-break. An independent judge or panel member must participate wherever required by applicable promotion rules. The chosen finalist’s eligibility and dated comparison are checked, and their acceptance recorded before confirmation. If a Watch finalist cannot receive the prize, the next-best eligible transformation is selected by the same judging method and documented; it is not drawn randomly.
When the first Watch finalist is saved, the server records a fixed pool of active, email-confirmed registrations from the stated countries that accepted these terms and uploaded a final comparison before the deadline. Each person has between two and four provisional gift-card entries, based on completed steps. This pool also records the source evidence for the judging decision. The confirmed Watch winner is excluded from the gift-card draws: one person can win only one prize.
Gift cards 1, 2 and 3 are drawn in that order after the Watch winner is confirmed. The server chooses a random entry using a cryptographically secure random-number source. A person’s probability in each draw is their entries divided by the total entries remaining in that draw. Four entries give twice the selection probability of two in the same pool; no fixed odds are promised. The size or quality of a transformation has no effect on these draw probabilities.
Every drawn gift-card finalist remains provisional until eligibility, every claimed completed step and prize acceptance have been checked. Materially false evidence disqualifies a person rather than allowing a prize obtained with inflated weighting. Technical errors or genuine uncertainty must be investigated fairly. Original source records may be requested privately to resolve ownership, dates or authenticity, limited to what is necessary. For the Watch, social steps earn no judging advantage and are not required proof checks.
Previously selected people are excluded from subsequent selections, including declined or unclaimed candidates. A rejected gift-card candidate is replaced using the same saved pool and random weighting. The organiser cannot choose a preferred gift-card entrant or rerun a valid accepted result. The server records the pool, ticket counts, judging method or draw result, reviewer, decision and reasons, and prevents concurrent selection requests from saving duplicate candidates.
A Canadian provisional gift-card winner must also correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance before confirmation, with reasonable accessibility accommodations where required. The organiser administers it privately and records the question, response and outcome. This requirement does not alter the weighting or award entries.
8. Prizes
Four prizes are available across the combined countries, not four per country:
| Selection method | Prize |
|---|---|
| Judged best final transformation | One Apple Watch Series 11, GPS, 42 mm jet-black aluminium case with Black Sport Band; Australian retail reference value A$679 including GST |
| Random gift-card draw 1 | One Apple gift card with a face value equivalent to A$100 |
| Random gift-card draw 2 | One Apple gift card with a face value equivalent to A$100 |
| Random gift-card draw 3 | One Apple gift card with a face value equivalent to A$100 |
The total Australian reference prize value is A$979. Local prices and exchange rates may differ. The Watch requires a compatible iPhone; Android entrants remain eligible but should consider this restriction. No phone, mobile plan or AppleCare subscription is included. There is no cash alternative. Prize imagery is illustrative. The Watch winner may choose an available Sport Band size.
Gift cards will be purchased for each winner’s Apple Account country/region. The organiser confirms the region before purchase, uses its payment provider’s documented exchange rate and rounds up to an available denomination so the face value is at least A$100 equivalent. Apple’s redemption terms apply. The organiser pays ordinary delivery, conversion and import costs needed to supply the prize. Winners are not charged a prize-claim fee. Personal income taxes, if any, remain the winner’s responsibility subject to local law. If a stated prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside reasonable control, an equal or greater value replacement requires the winner’s agreement and any necessary regulatory approval.
9. Notification, claims and replacements
The organiser contacts provisional winners using their verified challenge email within seven days of selection. It records the first notification and allows at least 14 full days to respond, or a longer period where local law requires. Prize acceptance is recorded before confirmation. The organiser will never ask for an app password, full card details or a prize-claim payment.
A replacement may be selected for documented ineligibility or invalid proof, an express decline, or an unclaimed prize after the claim deadline. Before declaring a prize unclaimed, send a reminder and make reasonable delivery checks. The first-notification timestamp and claim deadline cannot be silently reset. For a longer mandatory claim period, wait until that period has elapsed even if the interface’s minimum deadline has passed. Watch replacements are chosen by judging the remaining eligible transformations. Gift-card replacements use the original saved pool and the same random weighting method. Previously selected people are excluded.
A reason is retained for every rejection or replacement. A person may dispute an eligibility or evidence decision within 14 days of notice; another authorised reviewer will consider the evidence before irreversible fulfilment where practicable. Statutory complaint and court rights remain intact. If no qualifying candidates remain for a prize, the organiser must publish the outcome and handle the unawarded prize as required by applicable law, rather than inventing a winner.
10. Health and fair participation
The challenge is optional and does not provide medical advice or guarantee a particular body, weight or body-fat change. Choose appropriate goals and seek qualified advice when needed. Stop or adapt activity when unwell or injured. There is no requirement to crash diet, dehydrate, train through injury, disclose intimate images or reach an unsafe body-fat level. Reasonable adaptations and recovery are compatible with participation. The organiser may reject fabricated evidence or unsafe conduct presented as the basis of a winning result, with reasons and a review opportunity.
11. Privacy and operational permission
The organiser uses your verified login, entrant details, eligibility evidence, submitted image and story, consent record and review history to administer and protect the challenge and fulfil prizes. Entry data is stored in AWS services in the United States and accessed by authorised staff; international transfers require the protections applicable to your location. The challenge does not automatically copy your entire app photo library. The organiser will retain uploaded image objects for up to 180 days, with prior object versions ordinarily removed within a further 30 days under storage lifecycle rules, subject to narrowly necessary legal holds. Other entry records are normally retained for up to 12 months after the challenge concludes, then deleted or de-identified. Limited award, tax, consent and dispute records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or legally required. These periods do not limit applicable deletion rights.
By submitting evidence, you authorise the limited private processing needed to review it. That permission does not license advertising. Ask for access, correction, withdrawal, deletion or a consent change at support@bodyfataiapp.com. Withdrawal may prevent further assessment where the necessary evidence can no longer be processed, but declining optional publicity or email marketing does not affect eligibility. The main privacy notice at https://www.bodyfataiapp.com/privacy also applies. Applicable local privacy and consumer rights are preserved.
12. Optional email marketing
Marketing consent is a separate, unchecked choice. Operational challenge notices do not constitute newsletter consent. You can change your preference in the portal or use an unsubscribe link in a marketing message. Only confirmed, positively opted-in contacts may be exported for marketing, subject to the email provider’s suppression list. Withdrawing consent does not withdraw your competition entry or reduce your entries.
13. Separate photo and testimonial release
No advertising licence is a condition of participation, winning or receiving a prize. You may make separate, optional choices at final submission for the exact image and story you are submitting. These choices use the following release; they are not required to enter or win:
“I retain ownership of my submitted content. For the specific image and progress story shown with my submission, I give SHARKTOOTH PTY LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission for 24 months from acceptance to use them in the channels I select below to promote BodyFat AI. I understand the selected content may be cropped, resized, captioned or shortened for presentation, but must not alter my body, invent progress, misstate dates or change the meaning of my words. I can request correction and withdraw permission for new uses at support@bodyfataiapp.com. The organiser will stop new uses promptly and remove content it controls within 30 days where practicable, without affecting lawful uses already made or copies beyond its control. My choice does not affect my entry, entries or prize. No additional payment is promised unless agreed separately.”
The separate choices are: (a) BodyFat AI website, organic social accounts, newsletters and app-store or in-app promotional pages; (b) paid social, display and video advertising. Both are unchecked by default. The organiser records the acceptance time, release version, exact submitted asset and each choice. Publication of your name or handle with a testimonial requires separate permission. Materially different edits or uses require renewed permission. Marketing will disclose your participation or prize where that connection could affect the endorsement, and will not invent results, attribute them solely to the app or present an exceptional result as typical without support.
14. Winner information and platform release
The organiser may publish the limited winner information required by applicable promotion rules, normally first name, last initial, country and award. A winner can raise privacy concerns before publication; legally required disclosure will be explained. Photos and testimonials require the separate release above. To the extent permitted by law, entrants release Instagram and Meta from claims arising from this promotion. This does not limit non-excludable rights or excuse the organiser’s own legal obligations.
15. Changes, liability and disputes
The organiser may correct an obvious error or respond to fraud, a genuine outage, legal requirements or an event beyond reasonable control, using proportionate steps that preserve fair treatment. It must publish material changes promptly and must not retrospectively reduce prizes, introduce extra payments or disadvantage completed entries without a lawful basis. Records of changes and decisions are retained. Australian law governs to the extent permitted, while mandatory protections and available local courts in the entrant’s country remain available. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, negligence causing death or injury where it cannot be excluded, or non-excludable consumer and privacy rights.
